Week 2 of the Boschetto Bulletin focuses on adaptability and an agile mindset. Let’s jump in….

PM Tip of the Week

In last week’s issue, we touched on the rise of hybrid methodologies.

I’m a big believer that those who excel at implementing project management have an array of tools in their toolbelt, and know just when to pull the right one.

Traditional, Scrum, Kanban, SAFe — there is no perfect tool, and small businesses should not tie themselves to one.

Small businesses often face rapidly changing demands, so being able to pivot between methodologies as the situation requires can be a game changer. The framework that works one day may not be the best fit for the next phase of the project, and that’s perfectly okay. The goal is to keep moving forward, optimizing, and delivering value.

This is where an agile mindset becomes invaluable. Agile isn’t just about following a specific methodology — it’s about embracing adaptability, continuous improvement, and customer-centric thinking. When you integrate agile principles into your approach, you unlock the flexibility to adjust course as needed and encourage collaboration across teams.

It’s not about rigid processes, but about fostering a culture where change is seen as an opportunity, not a setback.

In what ways could your small business embrace agile thinking to make improvements in your operations?

What I’m Reading

This week, I’m reading Crazy Is a Compliment: The Power of Zigging When Everyone Else Zags by Linda Rottenberg, the CEO of Endeavor. Endeavor is a non-profit organization that encourages the power of entrepreneurship.

“If you’re not called crazy when you launch something new, it means you’re not thinking BIG enough.”

Linda Rottenberg

As small business owners, we are susceptible to our fair share of doubts. There are hard days — that is for certain. But I think it’s important to:

Keep pushing forward. The path of an entrepreneur is never easy, but those who dare to think big, take risks, and adapt quickly are the ones who create real impact. If your ideas seem a little crazy, lean into the uncertainty. You just may be on the right track.
